About Us
Bill Allsopp and Neil Wackerly are the law firm of Allsopp Wackerly, Attorneys and Counselors, P.C. Each of us has been in practice for more than 25 years. When we accept a new client, we recognize that each client is an individual. We're not some pretentious firm with lawyers that make a big deal out of their occupation. We are regular people, just like you. We are approachable, experienced and have a lot of common sense. The solutions we propose for our clients emphasize what is practical and realistic. A legal solution isn't worth the paper it's written on if it doesn't accomplish what you want.
Since 1984, we have built our reputations in Bay County by representing the Bay City Public Schools, the City of Bay City, the Bangor Township Schools and many local businesses. We have provided our clients with sound advice and counsel in a wide range of matters.
Just as important as our representation of the local governments and businesses has been our handling of cases for thousands of residents of the Tri-City area.
We have built our estate planning practice by paying careful attention to each person's desires for themselves and their families. We frequently speak to members of the community and answer questions about building an estate plan for themselves and their families. We have worked with clients and their financial planners to put together a comprehensive plan for their future-one that takes into account not just how much money they need to live comfortably, but what they need to do to be able to handle disabilities and incapacity as they age.
Our family law and divorce clients know that we don't consider their file closed just because their decree is final. We have helped many of our clients to change child support and custody arrangements which seemed workable at one time, but became unworkable or out-of-touch with the family's situation in just a few years.
